Joe Alwyn isn’t the only actor to work on Taylor Swift’s ‘Midnights’ album

Taylor Swift is famous for her ability to produce Grammy-winning songs on her own. However, she frequently turns to a handful of collaborators, including her companion of six years. Joe Alwyn lent him a hand on a few pieces of Midnights. But he wasn’t the only Swift actor to feature on her latest album.

Swift and Alwyn have been dating since 2016. But they initially kept their relationship a secret — they weren’t seen publicly together until 2018. The pair are still going strong and it seems they have something in common: writing songs.
Alwyn has acted in films like The favourite, Conversations with friendsand Catherine called Birdy. But the actor also has serious musical skills.
On Swift’s 2020 albums folklore and stillfans noticed that someone named William Bowery was credited with co-writing a number of songs, including “exile”, “betty”, “champagne problems”, “coney island”, and “evermore”.
Swift fans quickly deduced that it was simply a pen name for Alwyn. “William” is the name of the actor’s grandfather, who was a composer, while “Bowery” pays homage to the Bowery Hotel, where the couple had one of their first dates.
Swift confirmed that William Bowery is indeed her boyfriend in the Disney+ special Folklore: the Long Pond studio sessions.
“There’s been a lot of talk about William Bowery and his identity, because he’s not a real person,” she explained. “William Bowery is Joe, as we know it.”
When it’s time to work Midnights, released on October 21, 2022, Swift and Alwyn have teamed up again. This time it was for the touching love song “Sweet Nothing,” which seems to describe the couple’s relationship.

Alwyn wasn’t the only actor to help Swift with some Midnights tracks. Fans were shocked to see Zoë Kravitz’s name on the tracklist. The Batman The actor is also a musician, serving as a singer for the group LOLAWOLF.
Kravitz is listed in the songwriting credits for “Lavender Haze”, the album’s opening track. The song’s lyrics describe Swift’s irritation with the press for speculating about her personal life, as well as her fondness for Alwyn’s disregard for rumours.
The actor, a longtime friend of Swift, also sang in the background on “Lavender Haze,” as well as “Glitch,” a bonus track on the 3am edition of the album.
‘All Too Well Short Film’ star Dylan O’Brien also appears in ‘Midnights’
Swift also brought in another actor. Dylan O’Brien and Swift bonded after she dumped him last year Too good: the short film. O’Brien has long been a fan of Swift’s music, and the Teen Wolf star had the chance to be part of the Midnights album.
O’Brien is credited as drummer on “Snow on the Beach (feat. Lana Del Rey)”. He used to drum in the group Slow Kids At Play, but gave up as his acting career picked up.
The actor is also among those cheering on “Question…?” The track features a moment when a group of people start cheering and clapping in the background of the song, and O’Brien is part of that group, along with writer and producer Jack Antonoff’s sister, Rachel, and the Swift’s brother, Austin.
“I like doing things with my friends,” Swift said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “I think the experience of doing something is just as important as the pride you’re proud of at the end.”
