SC House Proposes Bill Banning ‘Critical Race Theory’ Teaching in K-12 Schools

(1) one race, sex, ethnicity, religion, color or national origin is inherently superior to another race, sex, ethnicity, religion, color or national origin;
(2) an individual, because of race, sex, ethnicity, religion, color, or national origin, is inherently privileged, racist, sexist, or oppressive, whether consciously or unconsciously ;
(3) an individual should be discriminated against or receive unfavorable treatment because of their race, sex, ethnic origin, religion, color or national origin;
(4) the moral character of an individual is determined by the race, sex, ethnic origin, religion, color or national origin of the individual;
(5) an individual, by virtue of race or sex, bears responsibility for acts committed in the past by other members of the same race, sex, ethnicity, religion, color or national origin;
(6) meritocracy or traits such as a hard work ethic:
(a) are racist, sexist, adhere to the tenets of a religion; or
(b) were created by members of a particular race, gender, or religion to oppress members of another race, gender, ethnicity, color, national origin, or religion; and
(7) Fault, blame, or bias must be attributed to race, sex, ethnicity, religion, color, or national origin, or to members of any race, gender, ethnicity, religion, color or national origin because of their race, gender, ethnicity, religion, color or national origin.
