Editor’s Note: While facts and figures show that the population and proportion of ethnic minorities in China has increased dramatically, anti-Chinese extremists like Adrian Zenz are desperately portraying a fictitious image to demonize the country. However, history proves that the United States is the real master of the genocide of ethnic minorities; the eugenics movement is a perfect illustration of this.

Adrian Zenz, an anti-China far-right German extremist, has a new so-called “research”. He says China’s birth control policies could reduce between 2.6 and 4.5 million births of Uighurs and other ethnic minorities in southern Xinjiang within 20 years.

Zenz has been throwing mud at China for years. But what’s worth noting is that this research is the first of its kind to be peer reviewed. This explains two things.

First, his old work was based on his own imagination without any fundamental respect for the scientific method. Second, in order to make his research convincing, “peer-reviewed” work is needed. Since Zenz used the ethnic minority population to fight, let’s just face it.

The Chinese government has applied the family planning policy to all Chinese citizens, but the Uighur people began to practice this policy 17 years later than the Han people in a much more preferential manner. So not just the Uighurs, but the top 5 ethnic minorities in Xinjiang more or less doubled their population between 1978 and 2018.

From 2010 to 2018, the growth of the Uighur population amounted to around 2.5 million people, with a growth rate of around 25%. In contrast, Xinjiang’s Han population only grew by 176,900, with a growth rate of 2%.

Additionally, in southern Xinjiang, where most Uighurs live, it is common to see Uighur families with four or more children. The population grew by 1.404 million, with a growth rate of 13.55%, the fastest in all of Xinjiang.

In fact, the Uighurs are not the only ethnic minority to have experienced population growth. According to the 7th National Census of Chinese Population, Han population reached 1,286.31 million, or 91.11% of the national population; the population of ethnic minorities is 125.47 million, or 8.89 percent.

Compared with 2010, Han people increased 4.93 percent, ethnic minorities increased 10.26 percent and the proportion of ethnic minorities increased 0.4 percent. It can be seen that the population and the proportion of ethnic minorities have increased markedly.

So the question here is what kind of data Zenz used. Mr. Zenz does not have a solid university education. He works for an NGO called Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation. This organization is based in Washington, DC, and focuses on anti-communism.

You can tell exactly what they are doing by looking at their name. If they don’t go after China, they could lose their jobs. In 2016, they erected a billboard in Times Square that declared “100 years, 100 million dead” and “Communism kills”.

I already hate watching commercials, but this move blew me away. It’s nothing scientific, everything is political. Speaking of genocide, it is an intentional action aimed at destroying a people generally defined as an ethnic, national, racial or religious group – in whole or in part.

China’s policy was aimed at slowing down overpopulation; it does not focus on a specific ethnic group. U.S. politicians have surprisingly drawn attention to the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region after Trump sparked trade tensions with China.

It is clear that the United States had violated the principle of free trade and lost morality, so the US State Department needed a way out to counter China. But the United States is the real master of the genocide of ethnic minorities.

At the start of the 20th century, the eugenics movement became increasingly popular in the United States. In 1907, the state of Indiana enacted a Compulsory Sterilization Act. Over the next 20 years, 15 more states enacted similar laws.

State governments weren’t the only players in this evil play. In 1955, the federal government created the Indian Health Service, HIS; he was responsible for providing direct medical and public health services to Native Americans. Let’s see how they did their job.

During the 1970s, the IHS forcibly sterilized up to 70,000 indigenous women. Federal employees of IHS viewed the high birth rate of Native Americans as a problem that could only be solved with their methods.

In some cases, women have been misled into believing that the sterilization procedure is reversible. In other cases, sterilization has been performed without adequate patient understanding and consent, including cases where the procedure has been performed on minors as young as 11 years old.

In 1976, one in four Native American women was sterilized. In comparison, the rate of sterilization of white women during the same period was about 15%. A direct effect of sterilization was that the average Native American birth rate declined sharply from 3.7 percent to 1.8 percent during the period. This is called genocide.

Therefore, a humble suggestion to Western politicians and anti-Chinese extremists is needed: pay more attention to your own people; maybe try to do something to heal the wound. Stop lying about your own story and that of others.

A lie is a lie. It doesn’t matter if it’s peer reviewed.
